Hey sis π if you’re reading this, I just wanna say… take a deep breath.
I know how it feels to have your mind racing, your chest tight, and your heart carrying the weight of everything at once. Life be life-ing sometimes, and anxiety will really try to take over if you let it.
But here’s the thing: God never meant for us to carry it all alone.
He literally invites us to give our worries to Him. And the beautiful part? He doesn’t get tired of us bringing the same fears, the same stress, the same breakdowns over and over. He just wants our hearts — even the anxious, overthinking, unsure parts.
Let me share some scriptures that always help me when I’m feeling overwhelmed. Keep these close. Read them out loud. Let them sit in your spirit when your mind is doing the most.
π Scriptures to Calm an Anxious Heart:
1. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
→ God said don’t panic, just pray. Give it to Him and let His peace do what it does.
2. 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT)
"Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you."
→ He cares about what’s keeping you up at night. Nothing is too small or too messy for Him.
3. Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)
"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
→ You are not alone. God is holding you up even when it feels like you’re slipping.
4. Matthew 6:34 (NIV)
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
→ Stay in the moment, sis. One day at a time. One prayer at a time.
5. Psalm 94:19 (NIV)
"When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy."
→ His presence brings comfort even when the anxiety hasn’t fully gone away yet.
Listen, I’m not perfect. I still have days where my anxiety creeps up outta nowhere. But little by little, I’m learning that peace isn’t about having a perfect life — it’s about knowing that God is bigger than anything I’m facing.
So if you’ve been stressed, anxious, or just tired, I hope this post gives you a moment of calm. A reminder that you’re not alone in this, and God’s already working behind the scenes.
You got this. And more importantly, God’s got you. π€
